Hello, I'm Brian,
Professional Funeral and Wedding Celebrant.
Based in Manchester, I support families and couples across the North West of England. I am married with three children and five grandchildren, and when I’m not working, I spend most of my time with them, along with our family dog.
My Background
Helping and supporting others has always been central to my life. I have served as Chairman of a charity raising funds and awareness for mentally disabled and disadvantaged children, and community work continues to be an important part of who I am.
How I Became a Celebrant
My motivation to become a celebrant came during a time of personal loss, following the passing of my mother and a close friend. The warmth and comfort my family received from an exceptional celebrant left a lasting impression on me. It showed me how meaningful and healing a well crafted ceremony can be.
I knew then that this was my calling; to support others through some of life’s most emotional moments.
My Approach
I am calm, confident, and approachable, and I take time to understand each person’s story. My role is to listen, guide, and create a ceremony that feels authentic, personal, and supportive. Whether it is a funeral, memorial, celebration of life, or a wedding, I offer:
personalised, non religious or semi religious ceremonies
inclusive support for all families and couples, including LGBTQI communities
help with eulogy writing, structure, and readings
a steady, reassuring presence on the day
My aim is to ensure everyone feels comfortable, understood, and supported.
Training and Credentials
I trained with Celebrant Life Services Ltd and am a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants (AOIC), with additional awareness training including Dementia Friends and PABBS.
I was honoured to be nominated for the AGFD Good Funeral Awards “Celebrant of the Year” 2024.
